CBSE is popularly known as Central Board of Secondary Education. It is one of the most prestigious educational boards of India. The Board has set up its regional offices in various parts of the country. It has its Regional offices in Allahabad, Ajmer, Panchkula, Delhi, Chennai and Guwahati. Most of the top schools in India are affiliated to it.

It is a self financing body which meets its expenditure without any grant-in-aid from the Central Government or from any other source. Apart from Senior Secondary Exams, the Board also conducts AIPMT and AIEEE examinations annually.
